Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions for taxi services provided by DARAXSK s.r.o.

Effective from: May 2026

Service Provider

I. Introduction

These General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") govern the rights and obligations between the taxi service provider DARAXSK s.r.o. ("carrier") and the customer when ordering and using Happy Ride Taxi Skalica services.

The GTC apply to all orders placed by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email, the website contact form, or in person. By placing an order, the customer confirms they have read and agree to these GTC.

These GTC are issued in accordance with Act No. 56/2012 Coll. on road transport, the Civil Code, Act No. 250/2007 Coll. on consumer protection, and Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on consumer protection for distance contracts.

II. Subject Matter

The subject of the contract is the provision of transport service — transporting a person or parcel from the pickup location to the destination. Services include in particular:

  • city and suburban rides in Skalica and surroundings,
  • long-distance transport (airports, neighbouring cities and countries),
  • Drink Taxi — transport of the passenger and their vehicle,
  • airport transfers (Vienna, Bratislava, Brno, Prague),
  • courier services and parcel delivery,
  • driver hire for customer's own vehicle,
  • transport for weddings and corporate events,

III. Order and Contract Formation

The transport contract is formed upon confirmation of the order by the carrier. Orders may be placed:

  • by phone or SMS/WhatsApp at +421 944 647 787,
  • by email at happyridetaxi@gmail.com,
  • via the contact form on the website,
  • in person when boarding the taxi,

The carrier will confirm the order without undue delay and inform the customer of the estimated vehicle arrival time.

IV. Pricing and Payment

The transport price is determined by the current tariff published on the website. The carrier will inform the customer of the price before the ride begins. Long-distance routes are priced individually in advance.

Current tariff for Skalica and surroundings:

  • boarding fee: €0 (free),
  • city ride in Skalica: €3.00,
  • suburbs and outskirts: €4.00,
  • outside city: €1.10 / km,
  • waiting (short): €1.00 / 5 min,
  • waiting (long): €12.00 / hour,

Payment is made in cash after the ride, unless otherwise agreed. Regular customers and companies may pay by invoice.

V. Cancellation

The customer may cancel the order at any time before the vehicle arrives. Cancellation is free of charge.

If the customer does not board within 5 minutes of the driver's arrival, the carrier may leave without any cancellation fee.

The carrier may cancel an order in cases of force majeure or vehicle breakdown, and will notify the customer immediately.

VI. Carrier Rights and Obligations

The carrier is obliged to:

  • perform the transport properly, safely and on time,
  • operate a vehicle meeting technical and hygiene requirements,
  • hold a valid taxi licence under § 24 of Act No. 56/2012,
  • inform the customer of the price before the ride,
  • issue a payment receipt upon request,
  • maintain confidentiality of customer personal data,

The carrier has the right to:

  • refuse transport to persons visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
  • refuse transport if the customer or goods could damage the vehicle,
  • require a deposit for journeys over 50 km or abroad,
  • terminate transport in case of serious GTC violations,

VII. Customer Rights and Obligations

The customer is obliged to:

  • behave so as not to endanger the safety of the ride,
  • wear a seatbelt throughout the journey,
  • pay the agreed price after the ride,
  • compensate for damage caused by soiling or damaging the vehicle,
  • provide accurate information when ordering,

The customer has the right to:

  • safe transport in a technically fit vehicle,
  • know the price before the ride begins,
  • receive a payment receipt,
  • have complaints resolved within the statutory period,

VIII. Liability

The carrier is liable for damage caused to the customer during transport in accordance with § 427 et seq. of the Civil Code.

The carrier is not liable for damage that could not have been prevented despite all efforts, or for damage caused by the customer, a third party, or force majeure.

IX. Complaints

The customer has the right to file a complaint if the carrier did not provide the service at the agreed quality or charged a higher price.

Complaints must be filed within 30 days of the service:

The carrier will resolve the complaint within 30 days of receipt.

X. Alternative Dispute Resolution

The customer may request remedy from the carrier. If the carrier responds negatively or does not respond within 30 days, the customer may file an ADR proposal.

The competent ADR body is the Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI), Inspectorate for Trnava Region, Trhová 2, 917 01 Trnava.

This provision is issued in accordance with § 11(2) of Act No. 250/2007 Coll. and Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on alternative resolution of consumer disputes.

XI. Personal Data Protection

Processing of customer personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy (GDPR) published on the carrier's website.

XII. Final Provisions

These GTC take effect on the date of publication. The carrier reserves the right to amend the GTC; amendments take effect on the date of publication.

Matters not covered by these GTC are governed by Act No. 56/2012, the Civil Code, and Act No. 250/2007.

These GTC are drawn up in Slovak. In case of doubt, the Slovak language version is authoritative.
